Welcome to LanClub Computer Services. We're really glad you're here. Whether you've just signed up or you're still exploring your options, this article will give you a clear picture of what LanClub is, how we work, and what you can expect as a managed client.


What is LanClub?

LanClub is a Managed Home IT service based in Wanaka, New Zealand. We look after your home computers so you don't have to think about them.

Rather than waiting for something to go wrong and then scrambling to find help, we take a proactive approach — keeping your devices updated, secure, and running smoothly in the background, every day.


What Does "Managed IT" Mean for You?

When you're a LanClub client, you're not just getting someone to call when things break. You're getting a dedicated IT partner who:

  • Keeps your computers updated and patched automatically (Pro plan)
  • Monitors your devices so problems are caught early (Standard and Pro plans)
  • Filters out malicious websites and online threats before they reach you (Standard and Pro plans)
  • Keeps your passwords safe and organised in your own private vault
  • Can connect to your computer remotely and fix most issues without needing to visit

Think of it like having a tech-savvy friend on call — except we actually show up.

We aim to respond within your plan's SLA during business hours (Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm). For urgent after hours issues, after hours rates apply — see our After Hours Support article for details.


What Happens Next?

If you've just signed up, here's what to expect over the next few days:

  1. You'll receive an email with a link to install the LanClub agent on your computer
  2. We'll schedule your onboarding session — a quick remote call to get everything set up, show you how to use your password vault, and answer any questions
  3. Your first invoice will arrive shortly — this covers your establishment fee, the remainder of this month, and next month in advance
