Installing the Mobile App

    Your LanClub password vault isn't just for your computer — you can access it on your phone or tablet too. The Bitwarden mobile app lets you view your passwords, use autofill on your phone, and add new entries on the go.

    Downloading the App

    iPhone / iPad (iOS)

    1. Open the App Store
    2. Search for Bitwarden
    3. Tap Get to download and install
    4. Open the app once installed

    Android

    1. Open the Google Play Store
    2. Search for Bitwarden
    3. Tap Install
    4. Open the app once installed

    Pointing the App to Your LanClub Vault

    Just like the browser extension, you need to point the mobile app to your private LanClub vault before logging in. If you skip this step you won't be able to log in.

    1. Open the Bitwarden app
    2. On the login screen, tap Self-hosted under the server region selector
    3. In the Server URL field enter: https://vault.lanclub.nz
    4. Tap Save
    5. Log in with your LanClub vault email address and master password

    Setting Up Autofill on Your Phone

    Once logged in, you can set up autofill so Bitwarden automatically fills in your usernames and passwords in apps and websites on your phone — just like it does in your browser.

    iPhone / iPad

    1. Open your phone's Settings
    2. Scroll down and tap Passwords
    3. Tap Password Options
    4. Enable AutoFill Passwords
    5. Select Bitwarden from the list
    6. Tap Done

    Android

    1. Open the Bitwarden app
    2. Tap Settings (bottom right)
    3. Tap Autofill
    4. Enable Autofill Service
    5. Follow the on-screen prompts to enable it in your phone's settings

    Setting Up Biometric Unlock

    To make accessing your vault on your phone quick and secure, you can set it to unlock with Face ID, Touch ID, or your fingerprint instead of typing your master password every time.

    iPhone (Face ID / Touch ID)

    1. Open the Bitwarden app
    2. Tap Settings → Account Security
    3. Enable Unlock with Face ID or Unlock with Touch ID
    4. Follow the prompts to confirm

    Android (Fingerprint)

    1. Open the Bitwarden app
    2. Tap Settings → Account Security
    3. Enable Unlock with Biometrics
    4. Follow the prompts to confirm

    Vault Timeout on Mobile

    Your vault will automatically lock after a period of inactivity on your phone. This is an important security feature — especially if your phone is ever lost or stolen.

    We recommend setting the timeout to 1 hour or On app restart for a good balance of convenience and security. To adjust:

    1. Open the Bitwarden app
    2. Tap Settings → Account Security
    3. Tap Session Timeout and choose your preferred option

    Accessing Your Vault Without the App

    If you don't want to install the app, you can still access your vault from your phone's browser by going to:

    Log in with your email address and master password. This works on any device with a browser.
